2020 and 21...
What can one even say about these years? I count myself incredibly fortunate to have had work, unlike so many people I know in the industry and we still don't know how this is all going to pan out.
However - I've been in two Zoom productions (bit of Shakespeare, bit of Rattigan), and have created roles in two actual live in person theatre productions. The first - joyous and ongoing - is Witchfinder, a new musical about Matthew Hopkins, Witchfinder General, in which I play his evil, adoring sidekick Mary Goody. We are hoping to tour this next year, and have done several days of R&D before recording for an audio performance. The second was a beautiful new dance theatre piece, Puck's Shadow, in which I played lonely Cordelia, visited by Puck (yes, that one).
You will be all delighted to know I'm sure that I'm still working on my nov, and can now see the Apocalypse at the end - and am also starting work on a screenplay and a play. Because why not?
