Sharon is an actor and singer and has worked extensively in theatre, radio, audio and concert in the West End, touring and abroad. She is also an award-winning writer (see Writing page for more details) and has directed several times for Streetwise Opera. As a producer, her portfolio includes two major charity galas, a one-day festival in Hitchin, Herts and a new commission for Tete a Tete Opera.
Her diverse theatre roles include Dorothy in A Bunch of Amateurs, Kath in 'Entertaining Mr Sloane' (covered and played), Sarah in 'Company', Sarah-Jane Moore in 'Assassins' and Beatrice in 'A View from the Bridge' at Clwyd Theatr Cymru ("outstanding","a perfect performance"), which won an award for Best Touring Production.
She is equally at home in new, small-scale productions, audio work and cabaret and has appeared in many concerts as soloist, including three Proms with the John Wilson Orchestra, and with Danny Elfman in excerpts from A Nightmare Before Christmas. She has also created several roles in theatre and for recording, including the Empress Agrippina, Patty Clare (wife of poet John Clare) and co-created and performed in a contemporary opera about Christina Rossetti which was part of the Tete a Tete Festival.
